Hi LCP, it is so nice to see you again, how are you?
LCP: I’m good, I’ve been home sick all day but have been enjoying a few games of MLB 2K9. My Yankees beat the National League All-Stars 36-17 so I can’t complain!
I am going to start by asking you right off the bat, what is your favorite sport?
LCP: Baseball.

I already knew that, but if I didn’t I could have guessed seeing as how we are sitting here today talking over a game of MLB 2K9 on XBOX! Ok LCP, then who is your favorite MLB player? And why?
LCP: Mark Teixeira, 1st baseman for the New York Yankees. He is an up and coming superstar AND he plays for my favorite team the New York Yankees…who in my opinion, are so much better than the Los Angeles Dodgers and Angels! (Said with a huge smile).
I like a man who stands for something LCP, can you tell me what your philosophy is on practice and preparation?
LCP: I think it is the most important thing because if you don’t practice you won’t do well. If you don’t get your head in the game during practice, you won’t be able to do it during the game…the majority of young baseball players aren’t like Albert Pujols (of the St. Louis Cardinals), was at a young age and able to turn it on and off whenever he wanted. You have to work hard.
How do you prepare for a big game? Do you have a ritual that you go thru?
LCP: My preparation on game day starts by focusing on the drive to the game. Also I work on the things that are my weaknesses a couple of days before the game. My only ritual is going to the batting cages before the game…you have to be as focused as a cheetah stalking its prey…
Favorite (personal) baseball memory?
LCP: Hitting a walk off HR at a tournament that won our team a bid to the Nationals in Colorado.
Nice, a man that can talk the talk, but also walk the walk! Can you tell me besides Mark Teixeira, who would you most like to meet and why?
LCP: A-Rod because he is a very talented player even without steroids.

Who do you think is the best MLB pitcher as of today?
LCP: Tim Lincecum of the San Francisco Giants because he has
pitched now for just 3 years in the majors, is 4-0 for this season with a 1.00 ERA and has 2 Cy Young Awards to his name. He is just an all around stud!
Who has the hot bat?
LCP: Albert Pujols! Which is funny because Tim Lincecum and Al
bert Pujols battled in out yesterday in San Francisco, two of the greats going head-to-head…Tim pulled out the win 4-1, though but not before Pujols smashed a double deep to center field. In 10 years from now you’ll be 21, where do you see yourself?
LCP: I see myself playing CF for the Yankees, batting 2nd…
To be Continued…..
